Tire Balancing

Tires need to be balanced to ensure the weight of the wheel-tire assembly is evenly distributed. Unbalanced tires can cause:

Uneven and faster tread wear

Poor fuel economy

Vibration in the steering wheel and/or floorboard

A thump-thump-thump sound that gets louder at lower or higher speeds.

Poor handling and stability

Increased road noise

Tire Repair

Got a nail in your tire? A tire can be repaired if the damage is limited to the tread area and the puncture is no larger than 1/4 inch in diameter. The puncture repair area is the middle, or "crown," area of the tire, which is approximately 1 to 1.5 inches in from each shoulder. The repairs do not overlap or if the injuries are not directly across from each other.
